Restaurant Oderberger in Berlin

I won a brunch for two at Hotel Oderberger from foodvergnuegen . And because I already knew that another „light lockdown“ is coming I didn‘t wait long to treat myself to it. 😊 There were barely any people around so we could really enjoy our brunch in peace. As this is a hotel brunch it was a buffet but with plenty of cool options from bread to waffles and cereals. They even offered homemade smoothies all separately packaged due to these pandemic times, of course. But my favourite part of this brunch were the „made to order“ eggs. 🤤👌🏼 As expected the service was also great, making this an overall joyful experience! 😊

We really enjoyed the evening in Oderberger. Very friendly service staff, each course of our 3-course menu was excellent in taste and a real eye-catcher for the eyes. Thank you for the nice evening, we would love to come back.

A perfect dinner in the restaurant. Chic, modern ambience, a very pleasant, friendly service and very tasty, high quality food. The menu offer for Berlin Food Week with wine accompaniment was comparatively very inexpensive. But we also like to come back to eat à la carte.

Food is delicious and very well prepared. The service is attentive. I would definitely recommend if you want to eat elevated German cuisine!

The restaurant is spread over three floors. It was well filled and pleasant in volume. The card was unexpectedly narrow, is a relatively small selection and not really for children. The choice fell then inevitably on the Königsberger Klopse (quite high priced with 19 €). Furthermore, we had the zander on lentils with celery (23 €). There was also a 5-course menu for 69 € with wine accompaniment. Unfortunately, you could not order the main course advertised there and with child you unfortunately did not really have time for a 5-course meal. First of all there was bread with two kinds of spread. Not quite our taste. The bread was a bit peppery in the aftertaste, but good: a matter of taste. We prefer soft ciabatta with high quality olive oil and sea salt. The meatballs were good according to my son's judgment; Everything was very well prepared. The Apple and Beetroot supplement will then be more adult-flavored, with a variation of buttered carrots that would have been nice for the child. The zander surprised me then and was really excellent. If you are looking for fine German cuisine is definitely right in the restaurant Oderberger. For us there was a lack of choice and offers for children would be nice (please then not only boring fries and nuggets). Finally, it was for 3 people (including a child) but quite expensive with about 93 €. The service was exemplary !! There were explanations about food and there was always someone within reach.

Restaurant Oderberger is nestled in Prenzlauer Berg between Oderberger / Chorinerstraße and Kastanienallee. In the former city bath Prenzlauer Berg which is used today as a hotel (but one can turn again in the historical swimming pool) the restaurant lies imposingly in the former gas boiler room of the building. It extends over several levels and thus receives its special character. The map is regional and wonderfully creative. There are 3 different menu cards under which you can put together your own order. I love the char and the Havellander pig. The service staff is excellent, friendly and accommodating. The drinks menu offers everything your heart desires and who wants to end the evening in the fireplace bar. A great place and an enrichment for Berlin and the Prenzlauer Berg.

High priced but very good

This has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants in Berlin. The quality and variety of the menu is only topped.by the service. The architecture is stunning.

Despite the size, the restaurant is very cozy and radiates a warm atmosphere. The map is pleasantly clear and offers something for every taste. The food is very good quality, but the portions are rather small and not for those with a big appetite. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

With great attention to detail. The owners have restored the old city bath with so much love and heart and created a veritable city oasis. The restaurant is unbelievably comfortable and welcoming.

We ordered the three-course menu and could choose freely between both the seasonal and the ordinary menu. Me and my partner chose six different courses, and we were completely satisfied with them all. Amazing! Even the relatively simple dish of pork knuckle with mashed peas had been made into an exciting meal. Attentive and nice staff, even if they did feel a little bit uncomfortable with English. Only downside is the weak range of beers (we're not really wine people, for whom the menu offered plenty), but this is the case for almost any Berlin restaurant and not worth omitting a star for.

There were four of us here. Warmly received and brought to the table, a well-laid table was waiting for us. The menu is not extensive, but is sufficient. Whether vegan, vegetarian or meat eater, there is something for everyone. The ingredients are regional, which applies to both food and drinks. Our waiter led us through the entire evening and was very good in terms of beer and wine only with port wine, it was a bit bumpy. The food (4 *) looked mega but the taste was only 4 stars. The main courses were all very good, only the desserts were a little lame. But the style of the location and the great service definitely make it an attraction and we will definitely come back and recommend it.
